The Fermentap Wort Chiller is unlike any on the market today. The coils have been specially positioned to be at the top of your wort, where the majority of the heat will be.? This results in a faster cooling time over chillers with lower coils.
25' of 3/8'' copper tubing. 8' of vinyl tubing attached to both the in and the out with a female garden hose fitting on the in side. Use our CE21S hose thread adaptor to attach to your sink. Perfect for a kitchen environment where the sink is close by. Equipped with new proprietary water turbulation technology making it more water efficient. This mixes the cooling water as it passes through the chiller so that you get more efficient heat extraction. The Chillout MKIV, now with new and improved male 1/2" BSP threaded posts, is the fastest way to chill your wort to yeast pitching temperature to get your fermentation off to a quick healthy start. The Chillout is made from stainless steel and brazed together with pure copper. It also has ripples up and down each plate. This creates more surface area and improves heat transfer.
To clean, connect water supply to the port where your wort was coming out and backflush the unit for a few minutes to ensure that any residue has been completely washed out. Remember to sanitize either with boiling wort, or a short flush with Star San before use. Do not clean with Sodium Hydroxide or leave Phosphoric Acid based sanitizers left to store inside the plate chiller.
